Thanesar Municipal Council

Thanesar, now a Municipal Council is largely governed by the Municipal Corporation. Towards the functioning of the administration and council Thanesar is further divided into two sub-tehsils namely Ladwa and Babain. The Thanesar Municpal Council (TMC) looks after the operation and maintenance of services like drainage, internal roads, street lighting, storm water drainage, open parks and public convenience.

Apart from this the council works on the planning and construction of services like sewerage, water supply along with the Public Health Engineering Department and the Public Works Department in Thanesar. Being an important part of the district administration, the council remains actively involved in fulfilling its roles towards the welfare of the people.

Collectorate in Thanesar 

With Thanesar being a sub division of the main district, its major governance is looked after by the Sub Divisional Officer (Civil). Carrying out the duties, the Sub Divisional Officer looks after revenue, decision-making and legal work within Thanesar and its divisions.
